1. Service operator

As of this update, the website is operated by an individual rather than a company. The operator may later register or change the legal form of the activity; the published operator details and legal notices will then be updated. Individual status does not remove applicable tax or legal duties.

2. Scope of the service

LapChecker provides a free refurbished laptop finder, a listing price checker and side-by-side specification comparisons. It is not currently an online store and does not conclude sales contracts with external retailers on their behalf.

Recorded prices are historical asking-price observations, not concluded transaction prices, real-time availability checks or a representative market average. Hardware variants and cosmetic grades may differ.

3. Requirements and acceptable use

You need an internet connection, a current JavaScript-capable browser ; public price observations are downloaded from static hosting. You do not need an account. The free electronic-service agreement begins when you start using the website and ends when you stop using it, with no separate termination process. Do not interfere with service security or availability or provide unlawful content.

4. Limitations of recommendations

Fit scores are rule-based buying guidance, not independent processor benchmarks or performance guarantees. Windows 11 compatibility also depends on the physical device and its settings.

Before purchasing, verify the model, configuration, battery condition, BIOS locks, screen, keyboard, operating-system licence, warranty and return conditions directly with the retailer.

5. Retailer links and advertising

The website may link to external sellers. There is currently no behavioural advertising or affiliate tracking running on LapChecker. Future paid affiliate links and sponsored placements will be clearly identified.

6. Availability and interruptions

We aim for reliable access, but the service may be interrupted by maintenance, internet, hosting outages. We do not fabricate results if the backend fails.

7. Service complaints

Send service complaints by email with a description of the issue and date. We will respond within a reasonable time where a reply address is available. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

8. Intellectual property and updates

LapChecker content and software are protected where applicable. Manufacturer marks belong to their owners. This page contains the current free-to-access terms. Material updates will be communicated via the service. Mandatory consumer protections are not excluded.
